Denis, Active mind, Doom’s Day, Listen to Help!

Yesterday Denis Shapovalov reminded me of my playing days. A brilliant shot maker who blows hot and cold often. This is a common trait of stroke makers. Their stats on winners and unforced errors will always be high. But, we must look carefully at the stats to realise the difference between a champion and a good player. I’m sure if Fed’s and Shapo’s stats, say equal in percentage are compared for winners and unforced errors (both shot makers, chance takers), there is a high chance of missing one important element in those stats. The timing of those winners and unforced errors. Shapo’s would be heavily stacked at a time when the pressure is not through the roof. Whereas, Fed’s will be more consistent, kind of like a gradual ascending or a descending graph. That is where the difference in psyche lies. Now, as for Shapo, his great battle would be to bring consistency in the big moments. And, to do that, a shift towards a process of general consistency in lifestyle has to be brought in. General consistency in life will gradually up his trend of being more consistent in big moments and being a natural stroke maker, it will up his percentage of winning the big points. Big points not only win you titles, they bring you legacy. Shapo’s a brilliant talent to watch, box office who can be brilliant one moment and equally frustrating the other. That’s where he has to work to become a multiple slam winner and with his ability he definitely is capable.🙏

Our mind is highly active, very loud when unsettled. Either in a negative way or in a positive way. But it becomes a witness, an observer when at peace. It is the latter state which enables it to work at its best.Let me give 2 examples, an angry mind in any situation is highly active but rarely clear. And ecstatic mind is also very active but prone to go overboard. A contented mind on the other hand is not that active but supremely aware.

I believe the earth is meant to live in and through us or whatever we’ll evolve into in future when Doom’s Day finally arrives.

Everyone wants to help others, well most want to anyways. And, that is perhaps where the problem lies. Perhaps too many of us are thinking of how we can help others rather than what actually helps them. And, in trying to act as in help we are probably missing out on certain things. Maybe sometimes the biggest help we can provide is by patiently listening to somebody. Or sometimes we may have to take an action quickly to be of help. But, this understanding will only come if we first stop to understand what help others require rather than how we can help them.

Om Shanti..🙏

I'm a former professional badminton player. I've been writing about whatever the mind can grab hold of. If I can help anybody with my articles then I'd be grateful. Thank you.
