Fixated Ideas, Idea of religion, Our caste system!

If you try to look forward to your life through some sort of fixed ideas, then it is highly likely that life will seem monotonous at one point of time. Let’s look at an example here, when you try a thing in life, in the beginning it seems exciting and you feel, ‘Woah! This is what I’m to meant to do in life.’ But then, after sometime you feel not so enthusiastic about it. It becomes that ‘same old same old type.’

This is a common occurrence. We fix our ideas based on a few brief moments. We set an apparent path, a long term one based on some brief experience. We don’t or can’t consider repetitive experiences of that thing as we’ve really not experienced repetition of that. Hence, we become irrational in our judgement. So, solution IMO is that we should just remind ourselves of the uncertainty of life. Uncertainty brings excitement. It is the sense of limited time that we have which makes us huff and puff so much. So restricting our mind to short term thoughts, day to day ideas would keep us thrilled and give us a sense of purpose to look forward to.

Having faith in God and faith in religion are two different things. Religion is the pathway to realise God. Religion, dharma is a broader way of describing the character that is you. It doesn’t have a set pathway. You can choose any pathway in order for you to realise the Infinite. That pathway is the one aspect which makes us all unique. So, naturally this also means that religion is the most individual aspect of a human being. For Einstein science was his religion, the pathway to realise Infinity. For Ramanujan it was numbers. For Sachin, cricket. For Swami Vivekananda, social reform through Vedas, public wellbeing. For Sant Tukoba, worship of Vittal. For Rumi, to spread the essence of God through words. Now, as for the holy guide books, they have highlighted the general patterns for the mass for ease of adoption of the methods. Not everyone can identify their paths. So, these patterns help people identify their paths, lead them towards their path. These books were written in accordance to a lot of things. They include some of the things like public mindset, geography, genes and so much more that it is impossible to even gauge the possibilities. That is why the patterns seem different to different set of people but ultimately they are all leading us to that One being.

Our caste system was based on an individual’s spiritual awareness. Not necessarily blood relations. It was meant to elevate people, not make gatekeepers out of people. Nowadays it is just a political weaponry which is contributing to more negative causes than positive ones. Anything, even the truth distorted for vested interest should be discarded or atleast restructured completely.
