Territorial Instincts, Druk, Strong Impulse!

We are fighting for territory. We are fighting to assert dominance, to satisfy hunger- thirst, instinctively reproducing at will without really considering the ill effects it may have and so on. These are some of the animalistic instincts that are there in us. Then, there are those ill effects of having a higher EQ and IQ. We are fighting on religious beliefs, on economical aspects, on racial difference, politics, faith and many other things which I maybe missing out on here. Then again, we have progressed so much in terms of the average life span, tackling health hazards, solving climate issues, technology, science and even spirituality. So, the choice is yours here. Which side you want to focus on. Well, I personally will be remaining aware of the negative side but focus on the positive one. Make a habit of it so that the negatives have a minimal impact on me with time. And in the end, when that habit becomes instinctive then I’ll try to unattach myself even from the positives. As Shree Ram Krishna had said, ‘You pick a thorn stuck in your toe with another thorn, but then throw both of them away when it is done.’ Eid Mubarak to all..

Watched the movie Another Round/ Druk which was quite interesting to be honest. What piqued my interest was the theory by Finn Skårderud. Nothing is completely wrong or right in my mind. It is the flow which determines that for you. Remember, the right kind of flow for you may not be right for others. Life is just life, it has no meaning other than existence itself. You are just you after all, no names, no identity. Happy Akshaya Tritiya!

Vulnerability is one of the strongest impulse you could have to strengthen yourself. It is massive if used in a correct way. For example, there are many achievers who if asked the secret of their success would say that they’re afraid to lose. That fear of losing makes them vulnerable. Once that happens, they scramble to gather more strength as in they keep pushing themselves to higher and higher limits. So, the secret of these achievers continuing to raise the bar could actually be vulnerability.

Om Shanti..🙏

I'm a former professional badminton player. I've been writing about whatever the mind can grab hold of. If I can help anybody with my articles then I'd be grateful. Thank you.
