Imperfection is great. Embrace it. Without imperfection there would be no life, its flutters that we see all around us. Imagine if you were Perfect. There would be no meaning for your daily hustles then. You would’ve gone beyond it. Perfection has no meaning is not a statement I would normally want to make, so a better one would be ‘perfection has no definitive meaning’.’You are a life’ has meaning. You are life itself is not concrete, not boxed. This is because Perfection is the meaning behind all the meanings. Thus, imperfection is the essence of creation. Embrace it in your journey. We are journeying towards Perfection anyways. Let’s learn to enjoy the ride then. The heartaches, the distractions, the failures, the victories, the joys are all a result of imperfection and to be embraced in equal measure.
Patience develops consistency, consistency creates greatness. But, how does one develop patience? By stillness. A still mind is required to realise that there’s nowhere to reach, there’s nobody to get ahead of and there’s no race to win other than winning your mind over delusions created by well, your mind itself. ?
Your feelings trigger your emotions. Your emotions trigger your response. Your response towards things becomes your behavioural traits. Your behavioural traits become your social conduct. So it’s the feelings that you need to be aware of, to work on. Try feeling good about yourself. Practise feeling good everyday. Doing certain things everyday to make yourself feel good is a nice practise. But, stillness will make you feel good by default. The ability to remain still in continuous motion lets you go to the roots out of which you can start feeling good.
Lead from the front or lead from behind? It basically means the same thing. Key is to own up the failures and give up the plaudits. To inspire people to give their best, to guide them to be a bit better as a being. Afterall, all this that we see around us, the world with its countries, economies, business, sports, this and that is basically nothing but the cause and effect of our intellect. Leadership is the ability to guide that intellect towards its Origin.
Om Shanti….?
