Off late I’ve been observing that I’ve started to spend time on meaningless things more than I used to.
I’ve started fiddling with my phone a lit more than I used to, I’ve started watching that ‘idiot box’ a little bit more and so on.
Flip side of tech you see! You can really get hooked to it in no time. You can get dragged on to things which does nothing but kill your time.
As a result of this, I’ve also started observing that my time spent on meditating, reading, writing, thinking have reduced a bit.
All in all, the productivity of my day has come down quite a bit.
But, having said all that, I’m glad that I’m able to observe this change in me. I’ll definitely try to rectify it from now on.
Inspite of all those initial negative things that I just mentioned, I’d still like to walk away with that one positive thing that I mentioned in the end.
I’m atleast observing myself. This is the first step of self awareness. This awareness eventually leads to self improvement. Writing down these observations help even more. Well, atleast for me it does.
