The two things that I’ve tried to think about often are, why is it that we love our children? What is it that makes us want to stay with a particular person with no genetic connection?
It is extremely difficult to summarize the reason behind this tremendous love but one thing that certainly draws my attention is the fact that we love to see our creation act out of the freedom of choice. It naturally feels like we are gaining freedom. As they grow up, their own understanding compounds, as a result the personalities start differing. Even then that unique connection comes to the center in the form of assurance. In the end it comes in the form of security.
The second question is even trickier to answer. Why do I like to stay with my wife or for that matter any particular person? Well, the easy answer is ‘memes’ with respect to wife or partner. The difficult answer is something almost inexplicable. The connection is in the understanding of reality. How one not only agrees but disagrees with one another plays a crucial role in accepting each other. There needs to be a constant alignment of basic energy even though occasional fluctuations are acceptable, in fact necessary. The momentary emotional, hormonal attractions merely supplement this underlying alignment that is the master key. There also needs to be an ever growing understanding of universal love for both parties. This is the most important aspect in staying aligned as it raises the frequency in a harmonious way.
