You live in a trance. Firstly, you find a purpose, a purpose that may involve your loved ones, society, your dreams or whatever. You try to fulfill it until one fine day you realise that it is not making much sense.
This happens because you outgrow that purpose. When that happens, it means that the purpose itself has solved its purpose.
This phenomena as in jumping from one purpose to another keeps on going until one fine day you start feeling tired and you want to leave all this behind. The bond that you create is the very bond that you wish to break away from. And, that means that this trance called life has solved its purpose.
Majority of us feel tired and want to break away. This feeling of tiredness is an unified reaction as in both your mind and body, the internal and the external come together in feeling that way.
However, there are a few who feel content, blissful when that moment arrives. Their reaction towards their passing away/change over is one of satisfaction, fulfillment and wholesomeness.
This is because the ones who are blissful during the change over are the ones who find a way to break out of this trance called life. They realise that the trance we live in is nothing but small change overs after change overs playing out within different timescales.
The eventuality of The change over from the human body and perception appears to be a normal event to them. Mind you, very few if any can achieve that state but nonetheless its possible. The eventuality appears to be ‘the ending without a new beginning to us’ but to them few, having broken this trance it appears to be like a normal change over, like a simple change of clothes sort of.
This breaking of that trance is possible by passive participation. This means that you don’t get into the thick of action but you are absolutely aware of the action. You become the observer in that way. The few who practise this one trait continuously are the ones who break the trance eventually. And why is this seemingly easy thing so tough to do? It is because, an observer requires stillness, and stillness is not a natural state of mind. The mind itself is grasped in and through motion. So, to be an observer, you need to go against the natural state of mind, thus become a total rebel, a contrarian so to say. 🙏
