Restraint brings discipline to the character. Discipline brings focus. That is why it is said that to achieve anything of sorts, restraint is required. Restraint is not restriction remember. Restraint usually comes from a deep sense of understanding. A good example of the power of restraint can be understood in long term investing in stocks. Let’s say, you have invested in a good business, you are confident in its fundamentals. Then it is your self imposed restraint in times of fluctuations which will decide how much profit you make in the long run. Sometimes the greatest action taken by you is to not act or react in a situation.

There is no good or bad situation. You need to see a situation as an opportunity to create something out of it. Too many times we forget it and wait for the right opportunity to arrive ignorant of the fact that it may have already come and gone.

It is this human consciousness which is the cause of all chaos. It is also this same human consciousness which is the reason for all the magical revelations.Cherish this mortal life as it is the highest on this planet. You are the best Mother Earth has come up with so far. This realisation alone is enough for your fulfillment. But beware, this realisation can also bring a chill down your spine as this can bloat up the ego and make you do things that can be harmful. Being a keen observer is the choice to make.
