If you love the thing you do irrespective of you not being able to earn a single penny at present, stick to it. You will eventually figure out how to monetize it. If you’re doing something only for money (if not illegal), stick to it till you feel it is enough. Eventually, it is important to feel ‘it is enough’ though. If you are doing something that you like till it is giving monetary returns, well, then you need to work on your clarity of thought first. Prioritising one aspect brings clarity. Clarity brings freedom eventually.
Your necessities lessen as your originality scales.
There is a constant battle between a part of your mind which tries start a new thing and a part which wants to let go of all the burden. That is the state where your mind is trying to contemplate the higher state. It is trying to make sense of it. You might repent with some of the choices that you make but then every single choice is required for you to go higher and higher. Hindsight will make you realise that fact.
Before going on to develop a habit of some rituals, before believing a narrative, before following a particular sect, diet, day of fasting, a line of work, etc just go to the depths of it. Think why you want to do it before you do it. If you find an answer that satisfies you, then only go ahead and do it. It is better to not do a thing than just blindly do it because your family or the society or some X-Y-Z has done or told you to do it. This rather shows more strength of character than anything else.We must remember that ‘we are what we think we are.’ And, by thinking before getting into something strengthens your ability to choose the right thing for you. And, that strength brings deeper awareness.
Om Shanti….?
