Guru Pranaam on Gurpurab! ?

As I was talking on the phone to one of my students who has gone away for a training stint he told me that he’s struggling a bit since the past few days.
“Sir, it’s not happening for me since the past week or so. I’ve been getting on the court, doing my drills but the mind just isn’t there.” He said.

I had a hunch on the cause so I straightaway asked him, ” are you in love or something? ” He hesitated to answer in the beginning but then admitted that that is indeed the case. He said he wasn’t going to say it to anyone but then upon being asked he couldn’t hide it any longer.

As I then suggested a few things about how to handle this situation in the best possible way, I was once again reminded of the magnitude of coaching/mentoring.
You are literally trying to groom somebody, trying to help another person in his/her wellbeing as best as you can.

So, to this, on this auspicious day of Guru Nanak Jayanti, I would like to bow down to all the gurus, teachers, mentors who had and have done their part in grooming human lives and our entire race in particular. Without their contribution, our existence would be much worse than it is now.

Om Shanti….?

I'm a former professional badminton player. I've been writing about whatever the mind can grab hold of. If I can help anybody with my articles then I'd be grateful. Thank you.
