Combo- True Strength & Power of Discipline ?

1) ?

True strength is to know that we’re never going really going anywhere, in a lower or higher way we’re just going round and round with the same thing.

Now, this might seem a bit demoralising to some no doubt. If we’re not going anywhere then what’s the purpose of this life?

Well, the purpose is just that, to realise that all these experiences of life in which we feel that we’re going somewhere exist to make you understand that one Reality.

That it is never about the journey, destination or whatever. It is never about going on and arriving somewhere. It is just about You. You never go anywhere, neither do you come from anywhere.

Knowing that is freedom, every work of yours, including take a breath can make you realise that. That is why it is said that every moment is an opportunity for you. Opportunity of what?

? Well, to know that you’re free.

A big reason for which King Alexander came to India was to attain immortality or say ultimate freedom. He’d heard sages in India knowing the art of being immortal. Well, this means a king as great as him was just governed by his senses. But, in his dying moments (If the quotes attributed to him are truly his) I believe, he understood what true freedom is.

2) ?

The key to your freedom is discipline. Let’s take the most common example of what we know as freedom, financial freedom.

The first and foremost is to put a limit, a number to say this is enough and stick to that number. You may still exceed that number but in passive ways. Otherwise that cycle continues. We need a lot of discipline to stick to this idea.

Second is to live a life within means. Today’s materialistic world ensures that there’s temptation everywhere. You get tempted to possess the next shiny thing at every step.

Discipline comes to the forefront again. We need to analyse every angle before going on to own something new.

These are the two aspects where I believe discipline is needed to be practiced a great deal. It’ll ensure that we remain free. And, that means financially free in today’s society.

Financial freedom is the primary one most of us are wishing for but it is entirely a mental game to be honest.

Discipline lets you win that game. Otherwise, even with a huge amount of earnings and wealth, we’ll never truly be free as such.

Om Shanti….?
