This monsoon may have replenished many a dry places,
This monsoon may have brought life back to the trees,
This monsoon may have filled back our (Mumbai’s) lakes thus ensuring another year of continuous water.
This monsoon may have helped us generate more electricity.
This monsoon may have made many smile, become joyous, romantic and a craving to have chai and bhajis.
But,
This monsoon caused landslides on our roads, This monsoon destroyed lives,
This monsoon destroyed livelihoods,
This monsoon made many cry, give up hope, abandon aspirations and ambitions,
This monsoon made many go hungry and crave for just a morsel of food.
That’s Nature. That is the law. It is both good and bad. It is beyond. Naman to It.?
P.S. – My heart goes out to those affected in the countrywide flood. Prayers for them.

This is a tribute to the God of Knowledge/Wisdom/Enlightenment, Lord Ganesh on his birthday.
What is knowledge, wisdom? When do you attain enlightenment or atleast are on the way to?
Does it mean that you get a glowing golden light circling above your head when you attain that? ?..
Well, I don’t think so. But, the light can be there in a psychological, mental or conscious way.
The light can be there in the depths of our understanding of life.
It’ll brighten with acceptance – It’ll darken with non acceptance.
It’ll brighten with non attachment – It’ll darken with extensive attachment.
It’ll brighten with restraint – it’ll darken with non restraint.
It’ll brighten with gratitude, compassion, forgiveness and humility.
So, may Lord Ganesh bless all of us with all those qualities and above all, the clear understanding of Adwaita (Oneness) to make this existence a little more blissful.
? Om Shanti….?
