Thoughtful Observations!?

1)?

Can you aspire to become the best of yourself without a definitive target?

Well, I’ve been trying to become that. I mean there’s no specific professional goal for me atm. To say something like, I want to become an athlete, businessman, politician, army man, writer and so on. I just want to become the best of this being that is me. Live my life as freely as possible. I guess, many people want the same thing like me.

How would I do that then? Certainly with meditation in the long run. But there is another step that needs to be taken care of along with that.

It is to achieve financial freedom. If that’s not there then it’ll be like I’m trying to switch between what I want and what is required to do. Now, I know the saying, ‘find the work that you love to do and it’ll become your life.’

While true, how many common man can actually say that they’re doing what they love to do? And how many people can define what they really want to do? Not many. And that’s the reason why we seek motivation, inspiration from every small thing around us. You see, the intensity of the fight for survival also varies from countries to countries. In ours it’s a bit harder than a few countries, a bit lesser than a few as well. This variety factors in people’s targets, aspirations in a way.

And, then there are people like me who just want to be well. So I believe if we’ve got no definitive passion to pursue in life, financial freedom should be the focus of life and then when we get free of it, the mind will calm down (how much depends on how deeply you seek wellbeing) and maybe your passion will find you on its own or maybe wellbeing will be enough for your being. ?

2)?

Everybody needs to be directed. And we’re being directed all the time one way or the other.

The question here is, how conscious we are of it. If we’re less conscious then we’re at the mercy of outside force. That force can be good, bad, ugly or anything for you.

But, as we become more and more conscious of ourselves, we gain the ability to pick and choose which force to allow us to direct ourselves. It will be less random.

When I meditate, I see or can feel life passing by me. Now, generally ‘life passing by you’ is seen as a negative thing. But, here what I really mean is ‘imagine a blue sky, and the white clouds floating on it. When we observe it, we find that the clouds move along one after the other and the blue sky is permanently there and freely allowing them to.’

Observing life around in a meditative state is somewhat like that. Now, if you’re like the ‘blue sky’, then you get the power to decide which cloud to learn from and which one to let you pass by.

Isn’t it fascinating?

Om Shanti….?

I'm a former professional badminton player. I've been writing about whatever the mind can grab hold of. If I can help anybody with my articles then I'd be grateful. Thank you.
