Life Lessons!

1) ?
1st Person – My opinion is this!
2nd Person – I don’t think so! My opinion is that!

Way of handling – Disagreement.

Likely outcome – Friction.

Now same situation in another way.

1st Person – My opinion is this!

2nd Person – You’re right. However, in my opinion, that is also right.

Way of handling – Acknowledgement, Agreement to disagree.

Likely outcome – A healthy debate concluding with a possible common standing ground.

Same situation,  two very different results.

Selection of words and respecting difference.
Many a relationship,  many a business deal, many an understanding can be saved with those.

2) ?
What is this need to be recognised?
What is this want of appreciation?
What is this urge to be praised?
What is this desire to achieve?

Well, it’s the ego’s way of trying to go to the Centre. The ego is built with the help of our senses, emotions, intelligence, habits and various other things.

This ego forms a character which constantly tries to achieve, get praised, recognised and keeps going round and round, battled and bruised, ignorant of the fact that he is in fact the Centre itself.

Om Shanti….?

I'm a former professional badminton player. I've been writing about whatever the mind can grab hold of. If I can help anybody with my articles then I'd be grateful. Thank you.
