Pandavas vs Kauravas..Where the battle was won or lost!

Watching Mahabharat, the one thing I realised was that many of the great warriors on Kauravas side, say Pitamah Bhishma, Guru Drona, Angaraj Karna, Madraraj Shalya were all in some kind of dilemma during the Kurukshetra war.

Take Pitamah Bhishma, he knew that by standing by his pledge of defending Hastinapur, he was actually going against his heart of supporting the Pandavas.

Guru Drona, by fighting against the Pandavas he was going against Arjuna who he used to love the most as a disciple. Thus, to stand by his pledge and also because of his blindfolding love for his son, he was going against his heart to side by justice, Arjuna and Pandavas in general.

Angaraj Karna, throughout his life his goal was to prove that he was the ‘numero uno’ of all the warriors. But that desire kind of softened once he got to know that he’d have to kill his brothers to prove that. It softened the moment he realised that he’d have to hurt his own biological mother to assert his status.

Madraraj Shalya, he wanted to fight for Pandavas but got tricked into fighting for the Kauravas. The will to fight with heart was gone then and there itself.

Mahamantri Vidoor, even though he wasn’t on the battlefield, his heart was for justice which was on Pandavas side. That will to see justice would have surely put him in a fix as he was serving Hastinapur as the Mahamantri.

These are some of the examples that I could draw out of Mahabharat. The point here is, when so many Maharathis were in a state of dilemma more than half the battle for the Kauravas was already lost before it even began.

In our day to day life also it is kind of the same thing, isn’t it?

No matter how skilled you are, if you have doubts in your mind, for whatever reason it maybe, you’re not going to see success as you know it.

But, without doubts even a small accomplishment will seem like success to you and it’ll further encourage you to accomplish bigger tasks at hand.

Be clear of dilemmas. Follow your heart.

Om Shanti..?
